Excellent question. Similar to buying a car, barndominiums have a lot of cost variation. Simply put, the cost to build a barndo is completely up to you. Let me explain, small barndos (1 to 2 Bedrooms) can cost about $150K with standard finishes. While medium barndos ( 2 to 4 Bedrooms) can cost about $350K with standard finishes. And larger barndos (5 to 7 Bedrooms +) can cost $500K+ with standard finishes. No, land is not included in our pricing, It does (generally speaking) include full services package, i.e. infrastructure such as utilities, site excavation and site planning. Great Question. Like any home build, it can depend on several factors. To answer this properly lets go through a standard build. First are the legalities, i.e. permits and zoning. Depending on location, for example in areas within an HOA, city ordinances and required permissions. These can take a week to a months of waiting, for required permissions. Utilities and infrastructure are needed to properly build a home, proper site surveys and property inspections maybe required, this also can take a few weeks to sort out and review. The size of your home and any additional buildings, a medium sized barndo, that is site ready, can take about 90 days to complete. while large barndos with additional buildings can take 120-180 days to build.
